Summer Cocktails + A Peach Maxi

DSC-6428This past weekend, I spent the majority of my time in a pool and it got me thinking its time to start sharing Summer Inspo! This doesn’t just relate to fashion, but it deals with trips/swimwear/party ideas/cocktails/mock-tails…basically anything summer related! I recently had some roof-top fun and created two cocktails using Brooklyn Crafted Beer. I found the recipes online, and although Brooklyn Crafted is non-alcoholic, the drink was turned alcoholic, so make sure you’re of age if trying this at home! I’ve listed the ingredients below + I’m sharing similar pieces to the outfit i’m wearing here! Lulu’s is my go to place for great maxi dresses. I’d love to hear more about some unique drink ideas to incorporate into BBQ’s or cookouts, so if you guys have any, send them over!

(2) Summer Cocktails

Classic Dark + Stormy

2 oz. apple cider
2 oz. dark rum
4 oz. ginger beer (use Mango Flavor – Brooklyn Crafted)
1 lime, cut in half

Combine apple cider, rum, ginger beer, and juice of half of the lime in a cocktail shaker or tall glass and stir until combined. Cut the other half of the lime into wedges, and serve in a tall glass over ice.

Bobby Flay’s Ginger Beer Margarita

1.5 oz. silver tequila
1/2 tsp. fresh lime zest
1 oz. fresh lime juice
1 oz. fresh orange juice
Simple syrup, optional
3 oz. ginger beer, cold (Use Extra Spicy Flavor – Brooklyn Crafted)
Lime wedge, for garnish

Combine the tequila, lime zest, lime juice, orange juice and a few ice cubes in a cocktail shaker and shake for 10 seconds. Pour into a rocks glass over ice. Taste, and stir in some simple syrup if you’d like it sweeter. Top off with the ginger beer and garnish with a lime wedge.
